The ‘lads and dads’ weekend involved some quality fellowship, great food, cakes, ice-cream and superb memories.

In the last weekend of April, Ambleside in the Lake District welcomed some intrepid testosterone driven blokes! The ‘lads and dads’ weekend involved some quality fellowship, great food, cakes, ice-cream and superb memories. The weekend included a walk up Loughrigg to enjoy the amazing views (and treats at the Rydal tea rooms!). We were blessed with amazing weather as we played football (well done dads team, winning on penalties), rounders (again a dads victory!) and did some canoeing / kayaking on Lake Windermere. A ‘room’ pub quiz finished the weekend off before heading back to church in the morning. A big thanks to the Youth Hostel, Ambleside, for their hospitality all weekend! It was great to share time together and to get to know one another in more detail.
