If you’re on our website because you met some of us at the Sugarhouse nightclub, then the chances are you probably enjoyed a nice hot cup of tea or coffee.  You might even have had a conversation with someone about why we were there.  You certainly had a beaming smile from someone you don’t know.  So what is it all about?  Why were people from the church giving out free refreshments?   Was there a hidden motive?  No doubt you have loads of questions!

So why do we do it?  We want to share something of the love of Jesus with you.  Jesus walked this earth, was crucified, and was raised to life again as a free gift to pay the price for our sin (the things we've done wrong) so that we could enjoy a relationship with God.  There are no strings attached to this love expression.  It was given for every one of us, whoever we are, whatever we’ve done.  Each cup of tea is a small reminder of this.  There are no strings attached.  It is given to you whoever you are, whatever you’ve done.  It is an expression of love.  Each cup also comes with a big smile - another expression of freely given love.  We pray that each drink serves as a pointer to the freely given love of God.

If you want to talk to someone about Jesus’ love, then please feel free to contact us or to join us on a Sunday morning at 10:30.  If nothing else, then look out for another free cup of tea or coffee coming to the Sugarhouse on a Friday night soon!
